CRI/Midweek
Join us for Midweek every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation in which you became acutely aware of dangers around you? Maybe you were enjoying a fireworks show with your family and friends when all of a sudden a firework malfunctioned. Instead of shooting toward the sky, it began shooting toward you. Maybe you were sleeping and were suddenly awoken by a tornado siren. Chances are, you have experienced such a situation when, in an instant, you became very sober-minded to a danger in your life. 1 Peter 5:8 says:
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
This is why we are doing a series in Midweek titled, “The Devil Wears ______.” Our hope is you would become sober-minded to the reality there is a real enemy who wants nothing but destruction for your life. Every morning when you wake up and put your feet on the bedroom floor, whether you realize it or not, you are stepping onto a battlefield. Our desire is to allow God’s word to inform us of not only who our enemy is, but how he fights this side of eternity. Join us every Wednesday in April at 6:15 p.m. in the chapel to learn our enemy’s playbook and equip yourself with the tools to have victory in everyday battles.

THE LANDING
WHAT IS THE LANDING? The Landing is a Christ-centered environment for 6 - 12th grade students to be honest and open about their hurts, habits, and hang ups. It’s Celebrate Recovery for students! Whether addictions like alcohol, or pornography, scars from the past like abuse or trauma, or ongoing battles with insecurities and fears, we believe the plan for growth is the same. We lead students through the Biblically based 12 steps by encouraging them to acknowledge and confess sin, make amends where needed, and continue to grow and give back. The Landing is a place to be real, and to find real hope in a God whose redemptive power can overcome any struggle. HERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT MAKE THE LANDING SO EXCITING: It’s experience based. Instead of students learning in a lecture format, they get involved with the lessons. They’ll write, draw, talk, move, answer questions and much more. It’s 52 weeks and it never stops. Just like Celebrate Recovery, The Landing goes all year long. Our hurts, habits and hang-ups don’t take a break so neither do we! The lessons are based on the Celebrate Recovery lessons. Students will experience lessons like, Denial, Forgiveness, Spiritual Inventory, and all of the 25 Celebrate Recovery lessons in ways that apply directly to them. It has 22 high quality videos from our partners The Skit Guys and Igniter Media. Students will write out their inventories and their testimonies
Celebrate Recovery

People who support this ministry as well as other men who have experienced prison and are now living a Christ-centered life will be in attendance. After the 6 p.m. fellowship, we will have praise and worship followed by teaching or testimonies from a volunteer pastor or fellow ex-offender who is now dedicated to Christ-centered living.
